On December 5 between 10:00- 12:00 h, the 14th Synergy Workshop with focus on »Dissemination of Results« was hosted by the Facilitation and Synthesis Research (F&SR) team.
The first talk was given by Sara Hoeflich who is Assistant Secretary General at United Cites and Local Governments (UCLG). After a short introduction of UCLG, she highlighted the important role of local governments to bring practical solutions into action. She underlined that 60% of sustainable development goals (SDGs) can’t be delivered without local action. Furthermore, the UCLG’s peer learning methods and the importance of decentralization and local democracy were emphasized.
Afterwards, social media expert Stephan Hornig from TÜV Rheinland Research and Innovation Management (translation) outlined how social media can amplify project impact, from engaging target audiences to maintaining transparency. His key advice: Identify your audience, craft clear messaging and select platforms strategically for maximum reach.
In the second part of the workshop, the projects reviewed their contributions to the SURE brochure in breakout sessions. The goal of the brochure is to provide an overview of the main results of the projects at the end of the research and development phase for a non-scientific readership. We thank all speakers and participants for a successful workshop and look forward to the next one in 2025.
